WARNING ABOUT VULNERABILITY IN VLC MEDIA PLAYER

The German Federal Agency for security in Information Technology(BSI) reported a security hole in VLC Media Player, which allows attackers to use rigged Real Media files to install malicious software onto the user's computer. Victims have to just open the manipulated media file to be infected. All VLC versions prior to version 0.9.8 can be attacked, and users are urged to upgrade to the latest version immediately
